Katelyns Glory left from post one for the
second straight week and, once again, driver
Randy Waples used a patient approach in the
early going. The pair got away in fifth spot
through a :27.3 first panel that was put up
by Igual Que Tu.
Kandor Hanover wasted no
time in making a move to the outside in the
second quarter and cleared not long after
the half in 1:29.1. The had built up a 3-3/4
length lead by the time the field turned for
home and then continued to widen her margin
in the stretch, eventually winning by nine
lengths in 1:58.
Paidmedorayme won the battle for the place spot with Arbor Pompom Girl finishing third.
Trainer John Burns co-owns the filly along with the Online Stable of Mississauga, Ontario and Patrick Huber of Lima, Ohio. It was the fourth win in 13 career starts and the winner�s share of the purse boosted her earnings to just over $64,000.
Kandor Hanover is eligible to many of this summer�s most lucrative events for three-year-old filly trotters, including the $600,000 Elegantimage in June at Mohawk Racetrack
