Rebellious topped the third of five 2012 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale sessions on Thursday evening at the Fasig-Tipton Sale Pavilion in Lexington, Kentucky with a $100,000 price tag.

Lindy Racing Stable purchased Rebellious, who sold as Hip 386. The Somebeachsomewhere colt is the fifth foal out of the mare Pan Hanover, who is a half-sister to this year’s Simcoe Stakes and Anthony Abbatiello New Jersey Classic winner, Panther Hanover (1:47.2 - $332,450). The colt is a half-brother to Pan Grad (1:52.1 - $207.915).

The second highest-priced yearling to sell during Thursday’s third session was Back N The Slammer, who sold for $90,000 as Hip 316 to Brixton Medical AB of Orsundsbro, Sweden. The Jailhouse Jesse-Habit colt has three siblings with earnings in excess of $200,000 including the big bread winner of the family, Civil Action (1:53 - $1,201,601).

Jim Doherty shelled out $87,000 to purchase Very Berry. The Conway Hall-Berry Nice Muscles colt, who sold as Hip 343, is the three-quarter brother to the recent Bluegrass Series-winning Creatine (1:57.1 - $56,400).
