The strapping daughter of Ken Warkentin-Front Porch Swing earned a career-best clocking of 1:58.1 in last week�s winning effort for trainer/driver Riina Rekila, and the filly was a much the best winner in 1:59.2 with the big money on the line in tonight�s final.
Rekila ducked into the three-hole off the gate with Random Destiny while Magic Treasure laid down an opening quarter clocked in :28.2. Magic Treasure still had the ball in her court at the mid-way point in :59.4, but Random Destiny was out and driving for Rekila.
Those two fillies battled to the three-quarter pole in 1:28.4 before Random Destiny drew clear to win by more than three lengths in 1:59.2. Wilsonator rallied to grab the runner-up award while Magic Treasure faded late to finish third.
Esa Lahtinen of Campbellville, ON holds the papers on the youngster, who has put together a 4-2-0 record in her first nine assignments. The $65,000 cheque was her biggest payday to date and it pushed her overall earnings to $169,900. She was a $22,000 purchase from last year�s Forest City Yearling Sale.
The fillies have one Gold Series event remaining at Western Fair Raceway later this month. The eliminations take place on October 31, with the final scheduled for November 7.
