  Bee A Magician, Mistery Woman win Oaks elims
Undefeated Bee A Magician and Mistery Woman both won their respective $35,000 divisions of the Hambletonian Oaks eliminations Saturday at the Meadowlands.

The second race first elimination started off with something that usually never happens when Bee A Magician races as she was able to go right out to the lead at the start for driver Brian Sears. Cutting the early mile from the rail, Bee A Magician led the field to the opening quarter mile in :28.2 before Frau Blucher (Jim Morrill, Jr.) came on the outside and take the lead.

But that lead was short lived as Sears came right back to the front with Bee A Magician by the half mile marker in :56.1. Bee A Magician then trotted in command to the three-quarters in 1:24.2 and then in the stretch was in hand for Tetrick and won going away by two open lengths in 1:53.3.

�She was real good tonight,� Sears said, �We were not trying to set any records, just wanted to get around there safe.�

Ma Chere hall (Corey Callahan) was second with Frau Blucher third, Hanover Belle (Mike Lachance) fourth and Fashion Athena (John Campbell) fifth to complete the five fillies that will advance to next week�s $500,000 Hambletonian Oaks final.

Sired by Kadabra, Bee A Magician is now undefeated in eight starts this year. She is trained by R. Nifty Norman and is owned by Melvin Hartman of Ontario, Herb Liverman and David Mcduffee of Florida. She paid just $2.20 to win.

�She will probably have a pretty easy week coming up,� Said Nifty Norman, �We trained her pretty stiff this week just to get her ready. We�ll back off next week and give her an easy time.�


Mistery Woman
The fifth race second Hambletonian Oaks division saw Mystery Woman and driver Dave Miller regain their winning ways with a lifetime best 1:53 victory.

Coffeecake Hanover (Jim Morrill, Jr.) was the first to the lead with To Dream On (Yannick Gingras) in the pocket to the opening quarter mile in :27.4. Classic Martine and driver Ron Pierce were on the outside and they went to the front by the half mile in :55.4.

Then the action really began to heat up as Gingras came first-over with To The Dream on and they collared Classic Martine at the three-quarters in 1:24.3 with Mistery Woman getting great cover second-over as the field turned for home.

In the stretch it was Classy Martine holding off To Dream On but they could not hold off Mistery Woman who swept by for the victory by one and one-half lengths. Classic Martine was second with To Dream On third, Coffeecake Hanover fourth and Time To Kill (Simon Allard) fifth and making it to the Oaks Final next week.

It was the second win in seven starts this year for Mistery Woman, a daughter of Donato Hanover who is trained by Jonas Czernyson and is owned by Millstream, Inc., Misty Miller, W J Donovan and Aldebarab Park, Inc. Mistery Woman paid $7.20 to win.

�She felt real good tonight,� David Miller said. �And turning for home she just did the rest.�

Track Notes: In the first race $20,000 Miss New Jersey Pacing Classic Prep for three-year-old state sired fillies, I Luv The Nitelife and driver Tim Tetrick nearly were beaten by Jerseylicous and driver Corey Callahan with I Luv The Nitelife barely holding on by a long nose in 1:50.3.
