Alagna trainee Nikki Beach (Somebeachsomewhere-Western Wisedom) and Sears won the $20,000 Sweetheart Prep for two-year-old pacing fillies in 1:52 flat over Cult Status and Odds On Alpha. She was a $90,000 Lexington Selected Sale purchase by Brittany Farms.
In regular racing action, Anders Bluestone, driven by Ron Pierce, won Friday night's $50,000 Invitational Trot in 1:52.1 for trainer Eric Ell. The six-year-old son of Yankee Glide is owned by Kenneth Wood of Denton, MD, and William Dittmar Jr. of Langhorne, PA.
