Chapter Seven wins Breeders
Crown elim.
On Oct. 22 at Woodbine, in the
first Breeders Crown elimination for sophomore colt trotters,
Chapter Seven, with harness racing driver Tim Tetrick, took
advantage of a duel from the half between supplements Daylon
Magician and Dejarmbro to win in 1:53.2.
The Linda Toscano-trained
Chapter Seven sat second as Dejarmbro took flight early with
quarters in :28, :57.3 and 1:26.1; a few breaks took out
longshots.
The duel between the two supplements resulted in Daylon Magician finishing second and Dejarmbro holding for third. Spectator K was fourth. The lightly raced son of Windsong’s Legacy revived a tough season with a win in Lexington and came to Canada as the favorite. Richard Gutnick, Gary Cocco, Southwind Farm and Jerry Silva own the winner. Richard Banca bred Chapter Seven. “He’s never out of steam at the end of a mile,” said trainer Toscano, “even when he wasn’t a hundred percent.” |

Manofmanymissions cruises in elimination.
Manofmanymissions took the lead just after the halfway point and cruised to a 1:54 win in his harness racing elimination for the Breeders Crown 3-year-old colt trot on Saturday night at Woodbine.
Mr Web Page was second, followed by Luckycharm Hanover, Can
Anyone Explain and Broad Bahn, who overcame going off stride
behind the starting gate.
Manofmanymissions, the Kentucky Futurity winner, was fifth in the early goings before being sent to the front by driver David Miller. The fractions were :27.2, :57.4, and 1:25.1. “Especially off of those fractions, (Miller) made the right move,” trainer Erv Miller said. “That was the right move at the time.” Manofmanymissions paid $3.00 to win. |
